Sure did!
I imagine the kingpin taking a dump/literally driving it till the wheels came off, introduced some unexpected forces on that bad boy.
Shame, because it looked like a pretty part. Pretty expensive too, I’m imagining.
Good luck getting her back together and back out in front where youse belong!

That’s not good.
Did it damage any of the housing or just the carrier? Are the axles not locked together?
Asking from a Jeep, straight axle, open/ locked carrier knowledge base.

Wow, sure did. Hopefully the damage was contained to minimiz
e any other repairs it may need - glad it didn’t lock
up and send you into a wall!

Us ername checks out.
That's a bummer, will something better replace this one?

Yyyyyyyeah, no point in checking the wear pattern at this point. Dang.

The halfshaft popped out so I’m not totally convinced that’s what caused it. The diff cover nuts were kind of loose so that also may have been a factor, since the transaxle is a stressed member.
We’ll get it back together, might miss one race but it’s better than missing two!

It looks like the case is ok, we might also need a new driveshaft. It’s a totally open diff so no locking at all. Unless it gets jammed...

No bueno

Not something better, just replacing the damaged pieces. There’s not much room in the rules to upgrade the transaxle.

Hey, that song wasn’t half bad... This one isn’t either.

Well, there’s your problem.
